You are in the heart of the “arts square”, the artists’ district. Honfleur is best visited on foot, through the cobbled lanes and painting galleries whose colour compete to draw your attention. Go along the rue des Lingots opposite the apartment. Only a few steps into your journey, you will already feel the urge to stop, intrigued by this unique bell-tower which you can see from your window, it is the bell-tower of the Saint Catherine Church with a double nave in the shape of the inside of a ship’s hull and further ahead, you will hesitate between the Erik Satie Museum which invites you to a poetic voyage and the easels of Eugene Boudin. You finally decide to put the visit off to tomorrow, attracted by a ship’s mast which seems to cross the town. Your steps then carry out you to the Old Port, a “must-do” in Honfleur to enjoy sunny terraces and appreciate the exceptional light which inspired so many painters…
